OK…so…this is Christmas…and what have you done?? Well…I can tell you what I have done…a whole lot of stuff…and even still I have not done some things I wish I would have!!
I love this time of year...in case some of you may not have been able to guess!!! Love all the Christmas movies that are out and being played!! Christmas Vacation, Christmas Story, Miracle on 34th Street, The Santa Clause, and ALL the classic movies from the 60s & 70s with the old style puppets and claymation...just AWESOME!! And of course all the Christmas music one can handle!!! I LOVE IT ALL!!!
What a wonderful feeling when Christmas time is here!! I am in the mood, in the spirit, being the unofficial Cheermeister of everyone around me, I love this time of year. It’s just so much fun!! What’s not to love about Christmas?? Seriously…what’s not to love?? Go ahead; tell me…I wanna know!! I can’t think of anything…except for maybe the FLIPPING cold!!! (Yes…I am doing my best to curse a little less this time of year!!) It’s just the most wonderful time of the year. The songs that are played now, have so many different meanings. But the common meaning, to enjoy this time of year…be with family and friends who are dear to you…and spread a little cheer to your fellow man/woman. What’s NOT to love about this…I mean seriously!!!
What I just don’t get, is why society has turned into a bunch of pleasers. Why not just stand up for what you believe in??!! Why is it that we do things to make people smile, and bring joy and warmth to everyone’s heart, that when ONE PERSON complains…then we take it all down?? What the heck is up with that?? It’s just ridiculous how we just cower down, and bow to all the haters and complainers, because they don’t like us spreading the cheer. A Christmas tree is donated to a public school…and put up on display…two days later it is taken down, because someone complained. The CHRISTMAS Village in Philly, next to city hall, been there for 3 years…it’s all about Christmas…not in the religious sense…someone complains, and they take the sign CHRISTMAS down…WHY???!!! Luckily, the mayor said, it’s a Christmas village, and the sign stays, and it went back up. He also lit the CHRISTMAS TREE the next night…and said it was a CHRISTMAS TREE on television. Why?? CAUSE IT IS!!! What are people thinking calling it a Holiday Tree??!! I have a question…what IS a Holiday Tree. Hanukah has a bush, Christmas has a tree. So what is a Holiday Tree for?? What does it look like?? I have never seen one…have you??
Radio station NJ101.5 has a CHRISTMAS CHOIR contest going on right now. They want any schools with choirs to submit entries for singing Christmas songs. People are complaining because it’s a Holiday contest, and religion isn’t in the public schools. So…Jingle Bells…that’s a religious song?? How about Frosty the Snowman, or Here Comes Santa Claus?? Are they religious songs?? LIGHTEN UP PEOPLE!!! Have a heart!!! Seriously!!!
Well...that is all for now!!! Although I do have one more point to make...Why is it, that one can come up wirth great last minute gift ideas, and they are already sold out...??? UGH!!! From me to you...Have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS...and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
